The Chief Executive has changed the lives of millions of people living with HIV/Aids in east Africa when the company became the first medical provider to cover HIV/Aids in its insurance policy. The bold and innovative decision by Mr. Nduati not only gave reprieve to those living with the condition, but also challenged other insurers to provide the cover. He spearheaded a health revolution in Kenya and the region.
Previously, Peter was the CEO of Metropolitan Heath Group, a South African Health insurance group and was Managing Director of AAR Health Services Tanzania. He has also set up other businesses namely Absolute Security ltd where he is the Founder and anchor shareholder and Redwood Capital, a private equity fund with a concentration in the technology industry, where he has 100 percent ownership. He owns and manages Pine Creek Records and is the immediate former Director of National squads in the Kenya Rugby Union Mr Peter Nduati supports AIESEC (an organization for students interested in commerce and business) and is the immediate former chair of the board of Daystar University’s local chapter. He had held that position for 19 years.
He won the Kenya Alumni Association in 2002 and was shortlisted nominee of the Global alumni of the year 2007. He holds a master’s degree in Economics and Insurance and is a chartered insurer with over 20 years experience in the Kenyan Insurance Industry.
He is currently involved in his doctorate program focusing in Entrepreneurship in Kenya.
